One thousand members in meetup!

During the firts days of May, 2017, Anastasia and I were discussing about a new photography group we just created in Meetup. We had some goals to help decide if it was going well or not. What worried us, specially me, the most, was the acceptance the group would have and we were afraid to be only two assisting to the events and end up with a zombie group, like many others in meetup.

Our first goal was to achieve the minimum amount of members in Meetup, 50, in two months. Now it seems something easy but for few years, I’ve been organizing photowalks around Merida and the amount of people assisting to each event was very small, so it was important for us to reach that specific goal on time. We did it in 18 days.

The rest of the indicators kept showing good results and significant growth and in two months more than twenty people were assisting to each event, so I stopped worrying. Thanks to all the people that are behind this group, to all of you who keep coming, to those that are in Seville just for few days and come to meet new people and see the city with other perspective, to all the Ambassadors, to the hard core (you know who you are) and to all of those who decided to spend some time with us. This group has never been (and I’m pretty sure never will be) a zombie group.

We hope to see you soon during our next event, Portraits x Lollypops!

Thank you all for making this group possible!
